Gabriel “Jacobo” Montemayor BIOGRAPHY

“Jacobo,” who hails from Monterrey, Mexico, has loved skating ever since he first tried the sport at age ten after watching his cousin on the ice. After honing his skills with trainer Barbara Burguete in his hometown, he eventually decided to join ice shows because he loves “doing what he does best and performing for an audience”.

Jacobo has performed in figure skating shows in Europe, Mexico, and South America and he has competed in international competitions including the North American Challenge Skate in the U.S. and Canada and the Junior Grand Prix in Mexico and Europe. He loves traveling the world and getting to know new places and people.

Jacobo is also proud of achieving a Guiness World Record in Germany, in which there was one day to put a routine together with sixty five skaters from different parts of the world.

Jacobo joined the Disney family with Disney on Ice presents Princess Classics in 2010 and he is excited to be in his second show with the company as a cast member of Disney on Ice presents Treasure Trove.
